The festival was set to take place on Oct. 2 in McLean Central Park, but the area could see about two to three inches of rain this weekend, the website said.
"While not a safety issue, we are greatly concerned that the soaking rains expected may damage artwork–both that of our exhibiting artists as well as the art featured in our Children’s ArtWalk."
MPAartfest updated locals about the event's unfortunate cancelation, on their website.
